I love the caramelised Yakitori Sauce. Authentic Japanese Yakitori with only a slight difference from the traditional.   4. Turn off the heat, and skewer the chicken in the pan. Skewer the white part of the Japanese leeks as well. Please be careful because they are hot.
  5. When the pan has been greased from the chicken, discard a little bit of the excess oil. Add all the sauce ingredients and bring to a boil (the sauce is done).
  6. Grill both sides of the skewered chicken on a grill while dipping in the sauce or brushing it occasionally, then it's done.

I was quite annoyed with my son when he told me when I got home that he was half joking. So I decided to have a yakitori day soon. Yakitori chefs use sweet soy sauce or basic seasonings like pepper and salt to flavor the chicken. However, your choice won't be with the flavor used, but the part of the chicken that you want to be grilled on the skewers.
